It\u2019s no secret, global investment into Artificial Intelligence <\/strong>is skyrocketing. Microsoft recently announced that it will invest \u00a32.5 billion in AI infrastructure and skills in the UK<\/a> over the next three years. This is in line with the latest projects from Goldman Sachs Economics Research<\/em>, which says that by 2025, global investment in artificial intelligence will exceed $200 billion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Learning & Development (L&D)<\/strong> industry\u2019s curiosity \u2013 some may say obsession \u2013 with AI and its impact is evident from the number of webinars, articles and industry-discussions that are popping up. One such example, at a recent LPI webinar with Udemy Business, shared these revealing statistics and insights:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But it\u2019s not just industry discussions which are happening, research is also being carried out to in order to help gauge its impact and we\u2019re especially interested in the impact it\u2019ll have on skills and training. One such study by Skillsoft, an American company in the e-learning sector, spoke to 350 professionals in the UK and Germany. The statistics they discovered are eye-opening and highlight the great opportunity that organisations have to invest in developing AI skills for their employees<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
