It’s good to talk… to Netex!

What a show Learning Technologies 2016 turned out to be for Netex. Sandwiched between exhibiting at BETT and our own event “i-lovelearning 2016” in Madrid on February 12th, this certainly is a busy time of the year for us. But not only is this a busy time but hugely exciting too, with two new solution launches at Learning Technologies, we arrived at the show with a huge sense of anticipation…

LT16 was billed as one of the biggest ever and the event certainly did not disappoint. This year the layout of the show changed slightly and many of the larger stands were to be found in the out West Hall. With higher ceilings, more natural day light and wider aisles the new format certainly worked and the show seemed as busy as ever. The show reinforces the general consensus within the industry that these are exciting times for L&D, stand budgets were up, the battle for the best give-aways continued and there were ample opportunities to try out virtual reality headsets!

2016 seems destined to be a real breakthrough year for Netex

and feedback from the show confirmed this. We were launching two new solutions at the show, Netex learningCloud our new fully interoperable learning systems, which utilise SSO and LTI standards to allow organisations to choose which learning applications they wish to use. The second launch was for learningPlay, our gamification framework, which allows organisations to reengage with learners by gamifying existing HTML eLearning content or platforms such as an LMS or Social Platform.

Our seminar at lunch time focused on gamification and was incredibly well attended, as you can see from the photo of the event:

There can be no doubt that “gamification” continues to be a hot topic and the level of interest shown at the seminar and in conversations at the stand confirmed this. The seminar was even ranked in the Top 5 out of over 150 seminars, when people leaving the show were asked “When you studied the free seminar series, which presentations held most appeal for you?” in the official LT16 Exit Poll.

Good sensations become reality

We were also incredibly proud to be ranked #3 for….“in terms of engagement, which company do you think you had the most profitable conversation with?” The stand was packed on both days and we had a record number of people visit us and some brilliant conversations with customers who want to reengage with their learners. So much so that we have trebled the size of the stand for next year’s event!

With even more innovative solutions planned for release in 2016 and some hugely exciting project to work on, make sure you sign up to this blog and our newsletter to keep updated.

We can’t wait for LT2017 already!
