Did you catch the recent Jamie Oliver series, the healthy eating program? The food itself looked anything but weight loss food but it definitely demonstrates healthier food at its best. Lucky for me just in time for the little black dress for the Christmas party season or the annual outing for the boys in a black tie!

To me Jamie Oliver offered blended learning at its finest. Using video on a Monday night via Channel 4, referring not only to the paper version of his latest cook book but now his app YOU-App. He also uses his website to encourage social learning via sharing ideas, recipes and on his YOU-App posting pictures on social media. The website itself has click buttons for the relevant meal you would like to research offering pictures, recipes and includes nutritional information.

You have got to hand it to him he knows how to grab people’s attention. I just wish he was in my kitchen weighing my food portions! I love the philosophy behind his new book… Everyday Super Food Day!

At Netex we were delighted to host some of Jamie’s great work at his restaurant, Fifteen. Within our catalogue we have;

  • Jamie’s Kitchen – Fifteen Lessons of Leadership
  • Jamie’s Kitchen – Fifteen Lessons of Teamwork

So this got me thinking, how about grabbing your team’s attention using the power of video with Netex’s learningCoffee collection then recreating the social learning environment with our products Netex’s learningSocial and learningApp.

learningCoffee is truly engaging bitesize training including a great amount of multimedia and interactive content. LearningSocial can support the sharing of knowledge and opportunities within you organization encouraging learning and communication. learningApp offers students and employees training from their smartphones and tablets, with or without internet connection and without losing track of their training.
